China RCBO Suppliers - CBRB7L Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection from Reliable Factory
Main purpose & scope of applications
The CBRB7L Residual Current Circuit Breaker (hereinafter “the RCCB”) is engineered for use in AC 50 Hz distribution circuits. It has a rated operational voltage of 230 V for single-pole two-wire and two-pole configurations, and 400V for three-pole and three-pole four-wire configurations. It supports rated currents up to 63 A and its service short-circuit breaking capacity does not exceed 6000 A. When leakage current exceeds the specified threshold or a person is exposed to electric shock, the RCCB rapidly disconnects the faulty supply to protect both personnel and electrical equipment.
The RCCB provides overload, short-circuit, residual-current (leakage), and overvoltage protection functions (the latter only on single-pole two-wire and two-pole models). It can be used to protect circuits or motors against overload and short-circuit faults, and under normal conditions may serve for infrequent circuit switching.

Over-current limits that must not cause an unintended trip when there is no leakage current in the main circuit:
- a. Unbalanced load over-current in the main circuit (including the neutral conductor passing through the sensing element): the maximum current that does not cause the RCCB to trip is 6 In.
- b. Balanced load over-current across both poles of the main circuit (including the neutral conductor passing through the sensing element): the maximum current that does not cause the RCCB to trip is 6 In.

Installation & adjustment
-
1
Check the following issues before installing the RCCB:
- a. Inspect the RCCB to ensure it is undamaged and its operating mechanism moves freely.
- b. Verify that the device’s nameplate ratings and markings match the intended operating conditions.
- 2During installation of the RCCB, observe the terminal markings and ensure that the incoming neutral conductor “N” is reliably grounded to avoid miswiring. Special note: Power must be connected as follows: For 1P+N and 2P devices, connect to a 230V supply. For 3P, 3P+N or 4P devices, mount and wire Phase A (the left-most pole) and Phase C to a 400V supply. Otherwise the leakage-protection function will not operate.
- 3If the RCCB is used outside of a distribution enclosure, install a grounded metal (or insulated) protective panel behind the device to prevent accidental contact and electric shock.
- 4The trip-setting current is fixed at the factory and must not be adjusted, and the device is non-serviceable; it must not be opened or repaired.
- 5Mounting and dismounting procedure (see Fig 2):
- a. Align the mounting slot of the RCCB with the lower end of the mounting rail (slightly tilted to the right, see the dashed line in Fig 2). Push the residual current circuit breaker upward in the direction of arrow 1, and press the recess in the direction of arrow 2 to position it onto the upper end of the mounting rail. Release your hand to complete the installation.
- b. Perform the reverse of the installation process: push the RCCB upward in the direction of arrow 1, and rotate it in the opposite direction of arrow 2 to remove it from the mounting rail.
Operation & Maintenance
- 1The leakage, overload, short-circuit, and overvoltage protection settings of the residual current circuit breaker are preset by the manufacturer and should not be adjusted arbitrarily during use to avoid affecting performance. Additionally, the leakage trip device of this product is not suitable for on-site assembly with the circuit breaker.
- 2After new installation or after a certain period of operation (generally once a month), the RCCB should be tested for reliable leakage protection performance by pressing the test button while the breaker is in the closed (ON) position.
- 3When the RCCB trips due to leakage, the leakage indicator button will be activated.
- 4If the circuit breaker trips due to a fault in the controlled circuit (leakage, overload, or short circuit), the cause should be identified and the fault eliminated. Afterward, press the leakage indicator button before closing the breaker.
- 5If the breaker is damaged and cannot operate normally due to a fault in the controlled circuit, it should be replaced with a new circuit breaker.
