Operating Environment
Normal Operating Conditions
- The upper limit of ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40°C, the lower limit shall not be lower than -5°C, and the average temperature within 24 hours shall not exceed +35°C. (Note: Special agreements with the manufacturer are required if temperatures exceed these limits).
- Installation altitude shall not exceed 2000 m.
- The relative humidity of the atmosphere shall not exceed 50% at the maximum ambient temperature of +40°C. Higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures (e.g., 90% at 20°C), considering condensation due to temperature changes.
Normal Installation Conditions
- Installation category: Category Ⅲ for the main circuit, Category Ⅱ for the control and auxiliary circuits.
- Installation orientation: Generally installed vertically (upright), but horizontal (flat-mounted) installation is also permissible.
- Pollution degree: Degree 3.
- External magnetic field: Shall not exceed 5 times the geomagnetic field in any direction at the installation location.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What is the normal operating temperature range for the circuit breaker?
The ambient air temperature should be between -5°C and +40°C, with a 24-hour average not exceeding +35°C. If your application requirements fall outside this range, please consult the manufacturer.
Q2: Can the CBRM5Kd circuit breaker be installed at high altitudes?
Yes, the device is rated for installation at altitudes up to 2000 meters under normal operating conditions.
Q3: What is the difference between Type A and Type B four-pole configurations?
In Type A, the N pole is permanently connected and does not open or close with the other three poles. In Type B, the N pole does not have an overcurrent release but is designed to open and close together with the other three poles (closing first and opening last).
Q4: Are horizontal installations allowed for this circuit breaker series?
Yes. While the standard installation orientation is vertical (upright), horizontal (flat-mounted) installation is also permissible.
Q5: What are the available operating methods?
The circuit breakers can be operated via three methods: Direct Handle Operation, Electric Operation (coded as "p"), or Rotary Handle Operation for Switchgear (coded as "Z").
Q6: What is the relative humidity limit for safe operation?
The relative humidity should not exceed 50% at the maximum temperature of +40°C. Higher humidity (such as 90% at 20°C) is acceptable at lower temperatures, provided condensation on the product surface is managed.
