- Type B: The N pole is not equipped with an overcurrent release but opens and closes together with the other three poles (N pole closes first and opens last).
Operating Environment
Normal Operating Conditions
- The upper limit of ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40°C, the lower limit shall not be lower than -5°C, and the average temperature within 24 hours shall not exceed +35°C. (Note: When ambient temperature exceeds +40°C or falls below -5°C, use should be subject to agreement with the manufacturer.)
- Installation altitude shall not exceed 2000 m.
- The relative humidity of the atmosphere shall not exceed 50% at the maximum ambient temperature of +40°C. Higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures (e.g., 90% at 20°C), considering condensation that may occur due to temperature changes on the product surface.
Normal Installation Conditions
- Installation category: Category Ⅲ for the main circuit, Category Ⅱ for the control and auxiliary circuits.
- Installation orientation: Generally installed vertically (upright), but horizontal (flat-mounted) installation is also permissible.
- Pollution degree: Degree 3.
- External magnetic field: Shall not exceed 5 times the geomagnetic field in any direction at the installation location.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between Type A and Type B four-pole circuit breakers?
In Type A, the N pole is permanently connected, lacks an overcurrent release, and does not open or close with the other three poles. In Type B, the N pole also lacks an overcurrent release but opens and closes synchronously with the other three poles (closing first and opening last).
What are the standard ambient temperature limits for normal operation?
The ambient air temperature must remain between -5°C and +40°C, and the average temperature over a 24-hour period should not exceed +35°C. For operations outside this range, please consult the manufacturer.
What is the maximum installation altitude for these circuit breakers?
The circuit breakers are rated for normal installation and operation at altitudes up to 2000 meters above sea level.
Can the circuit breakers be mounted horizontally?
Yes. While vertical (upright) installation is the standard orientation, horizontal (flat-mounted) installation is also fully permissible.
What do the letters "p" and "Z" represent in the operating methods?
These letters indicate specific accessory operating mechanisms: "p" represents electric operation, and "Z" represents a rotary handle operating mechanism designed for switchgear.
